Jarred D. LeSure | Email President
Born in Mississippi, the first elected President and co-founder of INSPIRE by L.E.S.U.R.E., Inc. is a man of true southern hospitality. Raised in a small town on the Gulf Coast, Moss Point, his family began training him up in the way he should go from infancy. Mr. LeSure dedicated his life to Christ at the young age of 10 and understood then the importance the “village” plays in building strong men of faith.
Jarred’s genuine compassion and love for serving others is demonstrated both in his personal and professional endeavors. He is currently employed with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as a Kinesiotherapist and Certified Aquatic Therapist at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa, FL, one of the largest rehabilitation centers in the country solely for Veterans. Earning his Bachelors degree from The University of Southern Mississippi, he set out to use his education and practicum experiences to provide healthcare services to Veterans with various disabilities, including spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, chronic pain and mental health disorders.
Mr. LeSure is passionate about serving his community with his home congregation, the North Tampa Church of Christ, where he is a faithful servant, deacon and friend. In 2019, he and his wife, Jeanene LeSure, started the Marriage & Family Ministry with a focus on helping to grow, strengthen, inspire hope and bring healing to marriages and families through teaching God-centered principles while striving to become passionate followers of Christ.
Jarred and Jeanene were married September 10, 2010 and together raise their daughter, Janiya, and niece, Shauntel. God has also blessed them to rear and raise their twin nephews, Kashaun and Treyvon. Their family shares a love of animals and the great outdoors, including camping, fishing, swimming, and just being on the water!
VICE-PRESIDENT
Kriston Kent MD MPH | Email Vice-President
Dr. Kent joined the INSPIRE Board of Directors in 2020. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Biology from the University of North Alabama. He then graduated Medical School at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL. He is a board-certified Otolaryngology/Head & Neck surgeon & is board-certified in Facial Plastic Surgery. He also has a Masters in Public Health from Loma Linda University.
Dr. Kent practiced medicine for 27 years & raised his family in Naples, FL. While there, he also served as an Elder of the Naples Church of Christ & on the Board of Liberty Youth Ranch. Dr. Kent also served on the Florida Board of Medicine from 2000-2004. He currently is Medical Director at two medical facilities in the Tampa region & is President of Physician’s Indemnity Risk Retention Group. He now faithfully serves as an Elder at the North Tampa Church of Christ.
Kris and his wife, Charlotte, reside near San Antonio, FL. They are parents of 3 wonderful children & 3 grandchildren.
SECRETARY
Leticia Allen | Email Secretary
Leticia was elected Secretary of the INSPIRE by L.E.S.U.R.E., Inc. Board of Directors in February 2020. As a product of a single-family home and having survived abuse herself, she has always had a desire to help women and children in abusive situations. Ms. Allen hopes her life experiences will be of value as she serves on the Board of Directors.
Leticia was born in New York City and later moved to Pennsylvania with her mother and sister where she lived until graduating high school in 1987. In 1989, Leticia moved to Tampa, FL where she currently resides. Leticia has two children and two grandchildren whom all also reside in Tampa. She is an active member of her church community and enjoys serving in various capacities.
Ms. Allen has been employed by CEA Associates, LLC, an investment banking firm, since 1998, where she is the Accounting and Human Resource Manager managing daily accounting functions for various affiliate entities, as well as all payroll and HR functions for employees and special opportunities directors. Leticia received her Associates degree from Saint Leo University and is scheduled to complete her Bachelors degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2020. After which, she has plans to pursue a Masters degree in Human Resources.
TREASURER
Dena Klaban | Email Treasurer
Dena Cotton-Klaban was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Her sister, brother and she were raised by a single mother after losing their father at a young age. She graduated from Ft. Walton Beach High School and attended local colleges in the area. Later, she met her husband at the Hurlburt Air Force Base and they were married in 1989. They then moved to Tampa, Florida where they raised two children. Dena worked as a surgical tech for 20 years while also attending her children’s activities and events. Her spiritual journey has kept her heavily involved in her church community, and she enjoyed helping her husband with his duties when he served president of Pop Warner Football League in Pasco county.
After losing her sister to the same ailments as her father in 2007, she took in her niece and raised her as her own. Dena retired from her job in 2014 to take care of her mother who had severe dementia for several years. She is very organized and fair, thinking everything through before making a decision. Mrs. Klaban has always been inspired to help the community and the youth that will be paving the way for our future.
Mona Judge Johnson
Mona joined the INSPIRE by L.E.S.U.R.E., Inc. Board of Directors in 2020 and currently serves as a board member. She is also a board member of the C.R.A of East Tampa and is also an active member of the NAACP. Mona is a small business owner in East Tampa where she has owned and operated Total Image Beauty Salon for the past 25 years. She is a third-generation hairstylist whose grandmother was the first licensed African American female barber in Tampa.
Mona attended Erwin Technical College in Tampa, FL, receiving training to become a licensed cosmetologist. Mona stresses the importance of educating others on vocational and technical training to help prepare the next generation to earn living wages and prepare for self-sufficient lifestyles.
Mona lives in Wesley Chapel, FL and has a daughter who is a May 2020 graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans.
Theodore V. Floyd, Sr.
Theodore V. Floyd, Sr. is a native of Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the schools of Hillsborough County and graduated from H. B. Plant High School. He received an Associate Degree in Music from Hillsborough Community College, a Bachelors degree in Social Science Education from the University of South Florida and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University. Mr. Floyd retired from the School District of Hillsborough County after 39 years of service, in which he spent 21 years as a classroom teacher and 18 years as a school administrator.
His wife, Octeon, is also a retired educator and he has two sons, Vincent Floyd and Attorney Isaiah Floyd. In his retirement, Theodore is a dedicated caregiver for his father and enjoys listening to a variety of music genre, especially jazz, and playing the classical guitar.
Bryce Wallace
Bryce joined the INSPIRE by L.E.S.U.R.E., Inc. Board of Directors in 2020, and currently serves as an ambassador for children’s rights. Bryce and his brother are both adopted and are proud to be members of a culturally diverse family. This upbringing, along with a home based on Christian morals and values has given Bryce a level head and wisdom beyond his years. Bryce memorized all 50 states by the age of 2! In his earlier education, he was chosen to be part of a gifted elementary school. Then as his schooling progressed, he is currently in the 2nd level of gifted classes as a Sophomore at Zephyrhills High School. His PSAT score as a Sophomore was one of the highest in the school and gained him a special tour of the University of Florida.
Sports are a huge part of Bryce’s life. He has played soccer, basketball and football, but his true love is baseball. He currently pitches and plays 2nd base for his high school. He is also a walking encyclopedia of sports, always having some serious conversations about stats.
Bryce currently resides in Zephyrhills, FL.
