INSPIRE by L.E.S.U.R.E., Inc., designed primarily to serve grades 6-12, will specifically serve youth who might lack the parental and/or community support important for training them up to be strong followers of Christ, who are without the appropriate structure necessary to perform at their fullest potential, and/or are at risk of being/have become subject to juvenile delinquency.

Seven (7) program pillars serve as the foundation for achieving our organizational objectives:

  • Personal Development & Counseling – Provide biblical and mental health counseling, and leadership trainings to train up the youth in the way they should go and teach them healthy coping and communication skills for their emotions.
  • Education – Offer a 6th-12th grade Christian academic learning environment to equip youth with a fundamental education and the knowledge to use the gifts God gave them to be integral members of society and best serve Him.  Educational tracks will be tailored to meet the individual youth’s needs and incorporate other INSPIRE by L.E.S.U.R.E., Inc. programming pillars to address high school graduation standards.
  • Arts –Encourage youth to appropriately express themselves, perfect their craft, and potentially earn college scholarships through music, dance and visual arts instruction and opportunities.
  • Work & Life Skills – Facilitate youth developing a strong work ethic, time management skills and responsibility that will allow them to be successful and valuable members of society.  Soft-skills training will include:  interviewing skills, learning to dress for success, resume building, fiscal responsibility (i.e.- budgeting, tithing, saving, investments, legacy planning).  Hard-skills exposure will include basic:  auto repair, cooking and sewing/knitting skills.
  • Therapeutic Recreation – Utilize recreation, leisure, farming and agricultural activities to build characteristics of self-discipline, trust, patience, problem-solving, sportsmanship and teamwork within youth; as well as help them develop appropriate social and emotional health behaviors.
  • Village Resources – Educate and provide resources in one-on-one and small group support environments, offered both in-person and virtually, to build up the youth’s village, reunite and/or strengthen families.  Residential participants will expand their village as they work with the residential coaches/house parents, learning appropriate family and household etiquette and the biblical roles of husbands and wives.
  • Alumni Peer Support – Increase the outcomes of INSPIRE by L.E.S.U.R.E., Inc. by facilitating peer mentor training and support between graduating youth and current participants. The goal is to empower those who graduate from the program to follow the “reach one, teach one” concept as they inspire other youth to be their best and get the most from all that INSPIRE by L.E.S.U.R.E., Inc. has to offer.

SHORT-TERM PROGRAMMING PLAN

Developmental programming will take place initially at various facilities within the Tampa Bay and surrounding communities.

The ministry’s calendar will consist of one-on-one and group programming within our seven pillars in settings that may include, but are not limited to:

  • Schools (supplemental to academic curriculum)
  • Winter Break Camp (2 weeks)
  • Spring Break Camp (1 week)
  • Summer Break Camp (10 weeks)
  • Churches
  • Virtual / Online

LONG-TERM PROGRAMMING PLAN (FUTURE YOUTH RANCH)

INSPIRE by L.E.S.U.R.E., Inc. has the long-term vision to build a youth ranch that will house a performing arts studio, multi-purpose event space with gymnasium and game area, main staffing offices, Christian academy, outdoor recreational facilities, ranch-style barn with farm animals, and residential housing (housing for males only).

The residential housing will provide a live-in opportunity for eligible young men that fosters a consistent, safe and thriving environment they may not otherwise be privy to due to their current home and/or personal circumstances, and lack of positive mentors.  “Residential coaches” or “house parents” will reside with the young men to provide supervision and additional guidance during non-peak ranch hours.  The reasons behind providing this opportunity for this demographic, middle and high school-aged males, only are:

  1. Biblically, the man is head of the family, and thus has greater expectations and responsibility from God; therefore, requiring deeper mentoring and 24-hour direction;
  2. Better ability to provide supervision and oversight to youth that are more self-sufficient; and
  3. This will allow for an increased focus on much of the mentoring needs for young ladies to be addressed during the daytime/non-residential program.
